The fraudsters typically post listings for tickets on platforms such as Telegram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook and Xiaohongshu, before moving conversations to private messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and WeChat to finalise the fraudulent transactions. Victims are often instructed to make payments via PayNow, bank transfers, or with virtual credits such as iTunes cards
