SINGAPORE - The Singapore Armed Forces is taking part in Exercise Panzer Strike in Germany, reaffirming the warm defence relationship between the two nations.

In a statement on Sunday , the Ministry of Defence said Senior Minister of State for Defence Zaqy Mohamad visited the soldiers at the Oberlausitz Military Training Area on Saturday.

"This is why the SAF continues to strengthen its operational capabilities through complex and rigorous exercises, both locally and overseas, to ensure that our soldiers are competent and capable of defending Singapore, when called upon." The soldiers had a live-firing exercise with their German Army counterparts from Panzergrenadierbataillon 122 and Panzerbataillon 104.
