SINGAPORE — Angry that a hawker assistant had prepared fried beancurd instead of his order of fried beancurd skin, Kelvin Tan Chun Long tossed a takeaway container of hot soup at her.

He is set to be sentenced on Jan 28 next year after a judge asked his lawyer and the prosecution to make submissions on compensation. He then grew unhappy when she told him that she could not redo his order because the food had already been cooked. He proceeded to turn away, pushing the plastic bag containing his order away from the counter onto the floor.

Tan immediately walked away from the stall, returning to apologise only after several passers-by who had witnessed the incident chased after him. “It was extremely fortuitous that it did not splash on more vulnerable parts of her body, which would have resulted in more serious injuries,” the prosecutor added.

Hot soldier here

He should have kept his cool, and know his rights. If he couldn't accept the wrong produce, he should have been steadfast to ask for a return of his money. BUT if he can accept it, no problem. The stallowner should not withhold money for wrong transaction.

Well done soldier! You throw hot soup at people, then Mindef can throw you into DB

Now he is in hot soup

WTF!!! 🤬
