Halfway through the performance, Rene shared to fans,"My father was a captain. I liked to act cute with him, and he loved it when I do so. I think in everyone's heart, there will be that one person where you can [just be yourself]."Speaking to the media following the performance, Rene said that her father Liu Weiwen passed away on 17 August at the age of 92. She originally wanted to postpone her promotional activities, but decided to perform so as to not disappoint fans.
As she didn't want the audience to feel saddened by the information, Rene admitted that she only let a few staff members know about it.
