Religious teacher jailed 8 months for molesting female madrasah pupil.

The 31-year-old man pleaded guilty to one count of molesting the girl, who is now 10 years old. Another count of molesting the girl in an earlier incident was taken into consideration for his sentencing.Abused during religious classThe incident took place in one of the Islamic school’s classroom’s on 10 February 2017.

While conducting a class, the teacher asked the girl to stand beside him and read a passage. He then pressed the girl’s buttocks over her clothes while he remained seated at his desk. The girl later told her mother what had happened. According to the prosecution, the victim said she felt ashamed over what happened to her.
