Its upcoming dine-in space serves sandos only for lunch and wood-fired meats for dinner, a departure from its previous cramped takeaway shop.

After operating its Everton Park outlet for one and a half years, cult favourite sandwich spot 46 Mittsu shut its doors on Mar 10. The men behind the buzzy takeaway sarnie spot within an old HDB estate took toto announce its closure, vaguely saying “change is on the horizon as we work passionately behind the scenes to bring you something fresh and exciting”.

While he declined to reveal the amount of profit made, he said that they invested around S$300,000 into their new space near Boat Quay. It costs around S$12,000 to rent each month, “three times” their previous rental price. Their existing signatures, including the BEC and AEC , will remain on the menu, all made with sourdough brioche bread from local bakery Pelle and Pepe.For the first time, 46 Mittsu will also extend its opening hours till dinner, something that Say said a lot of customers had asked them to do.
