SINGAPORE: Comments made by Pope Francis in a documentary voicing support for same-sex civil unions are “not considered or admissible as official papal teaching", said the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore on Thursday .
“Also, any quote from the Holy Father recorded in a documentary is not considered or admissible as an official papal teaching.” "Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God," Pope Francis said in one of his sit-down interviews for the documentary."What we have to have is a civil union law; that way they are legally covered.”
I guess Singapore's Catholic Church is the Karen of Christianity.
They're playing good cop bad cop shtick. Funds are drying up cos straights are not as religious anymore.
Who cares what the pope or sg Catholic Church say? I don’t care when a snake say eat the apple, so I don’t care what they say in general.
No Catholics ever divorce before?
Sigh. As a Catholic, I’m happy the Pope is progressing and the religion that progress as the society is good. As Sg’rean, disappointed at the SG Catholic Church! Jesus said to love everyone as yourself!
Catholic Church is always very comprising.
'Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God,' This is exactly the word all LGBT people and true Christians have been waiting for. Hosanna!
Need Mother Mary to say then can.
🙄
So they need a formal papal decree? Time for the Pope to get on it then! Pontifex
I thought he is the boss, isn’t he?
