A homeowner in Ang Mo Kio has been ordered to demolish the unauthorised loft in his three-room Ang Mo Kio flat.A homeowner who added a mezzanine floor in his three-room flat has been ordered by the Housing Development Board to demolish it.

According to the now-deleted listing, the homeowner spent $20,000 to build a loft in the master bedroom. After the listing for the 'loft' unit was posted online, several buyers expressed interest in the flat.The owner of the flat has been informed that the house cannot be listed for sale until the unauthorised mezzanine floor has been demolished, Shin Min reported.
