KUALA LUMPUR: Only the people can change the prime minister through the ballot box, Dr Mahathir Mohamad said on Sunday , in what appeared to be a response to remarks by Johor Crown Prince Ismail Sultan Ibrahim that it was better to change the premier than the head coach of the southern state’s football team.

The prime minister was referring to the case of late Sultan Iskandar Sultan Ismail of Johor, then the crown prince, when he lost the status in 1961 over alleged misbehaviour. "He's not a big man, just a small one. If he wants to change the prime minister, he is welcome to vote."In a recent viral video, the crown prince said:"Instead of changing Mora, it's better to change the prime minister."

The Sultan of Johor personally drove Dr Mahathir Mohamad to the Senai International Airport on Jan 10, 2019.

Tun if you did not catch the joke from CP then something is very wrong with your intellect.

Ya right but the voting system must be a clean and uncompromise one. Mr M was voting in because there was a good guy who went wayward and not because Mr M is good enough to replace him

As far as I know, voters didnt vote for a PM in the election. The PM will be changed based on the party preference

And people should change the royals too if they cross the line
