HANOI - North Korea leader Kim Jong Un said on Thursday that he would not be in Vietnam meeting with US President Donald Trump if he was not prepared to pursue the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.

Asked by a journalist if he was willing to denuclearise, Mr Kim said:"If I'm not willing to do that, I won't be here right now."In answer to reporters' questions during his meeting with Mr Trump, Mr Kim also said he would welcome the idea of putting a US liaison office in the North's capital, Pyongyang.
