COLOMBO: A Muslim man was slashed to death in Sri Lanka on Monday , making him the first fatality in a violent new backlash against the Easter suicide bombings, police said.
The 45-year-old man died shortly after admission to a hospital in Puttalam district during anti-Muslim rioting which began on Sunday in the area, a police official told AFP.His death was reported after the entire country was placed under curfew meant to prevent a spread of violence.
