ABU DHABI - Six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton put Mercedes on pole position for the season-ending Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix on Saturday .
"It's been such a long slog trying to get this pole position," said Hamilton, whose time of 1min 34.779sec was also a track record. The Briton wrapped up his sixth title in Texas earlier in November."It's been a special car and this is the last time I get to qualify with it so I'm glad I did it proud today," he said.
