A Tweet showing a dog resting on top of a sack of dog food in a convenience store went viral last Sunday . What’s the big deal here?

The dog had run into a 99 Speedmart outlet in Malaysia seeking shelter from a thunderstorm and the staff were praised for allowing the stray to wait out the storm. The photo showing the stray lying on top of the bag of dog food on a bottom shelf in the store was posted last week on theSaid Mr Aqqluq: “I was shopping for items and suddenly saw it.- Advertisement 1-

Apparently, this is not the first time that the doggo sought shelter there, the staff told Mr Aqluq. The stray already knows he won’t be turned away. “Each time there is thunder and heavy rain, it will go into the store to hide, poor thing.” The post was then shared on Twitter by @nabilfikran, who goes by the handle Bella Hadidn’t., who wrote in Malay:“I will always pray for those who do good deeds to stray animals to enter heaven.”Several commenters took the opportunity to appeal to others to show compassion to animals, especially in such situations.Other netizens wrote that Speedmart is known to be animal friendly.- Advertisement -
