When the mini hotpot was served, she noticed the fire had nearly gone out and requested the stall assistant to add more fuel. Wei told Shin Min that the 'explosion' occurred right after the fuel was added. She heard a loud bang and flames shot out, with embers landing on her phone and plastic bag that were on the table.
Wei added that it is not her first time patronising the stall: "Previously, employees would pour the gel fuel slowly from the side of the burner, and not directly on top ."educate the employees on how to correctly top up the gel fuel to prevent further incidents.Speaking to Shin Min, the employee who added the fuel said it was an accident.
