SINGAPORE — A director-general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is set to plead guilty to charges over his use of diplomatic bags for boxe

charges over his use of diplomatic bagsGilbert Oh Hin Kwan, a director-general of Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Gilbert Oh Hin Kwan, 45, indicated at a further mention of his case on Thursday that is pleading guilty.

Oh faces three charges for deceiving MFA, abetting this deception and providing false information to a public servant. He is also accused of instigating an MFA colleague to dispatch a package containing branded watches from China to Singapore via the diplomatic bag service in January 2023. Oh's guilty plea hearing has been set for April 26 before District Judge Sharmila Sripathy-Shanaz, according to court records.MFA previously said that Oh has been on no-pay leave while investigations were ongoing.
