The MAS and the SFA launched and opened applications for the 2021 Singapore FinTech Festival Global FinTech Awards.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore FinTech Association launched and opened applications for the 2021 Singapore FinTech Festival Global FinTech Awards.

The Awards, with the theme “Emerging from a pandemic, the road to recovery,” recognise FinTech solutions by FinTech companies, financial institutions, technology companies, and other individuals and firms ““As economies around the world look to recover and rebound from the impact of the pandemic, the Awards seek to recognise FinTech initiatives which have helped create new growth opportunities, transform industry practices, and promote financial inclusion amid challenging circumstances,” the...

Finalists for the categories under MAS will be evaluated based on impact, practicality, interoperability, and uniqueness and creativity. Up to three winners will be chosen from the four categories, with the first-placer winning S$150,000. The second place will take home S$100,000, and the third place, S$50,000.

Eight other categories are under the SFA. For individual categories—Top 10 FinTech Leaders, ASEAN FinTech Leaders, Women in FinTech, and FinTech Leaders Under 30. Whilst the categories for corporates are FinTech Employer of the Year, Partners of FinTech, Social Impact Award and Knowledge Enterprise Award. Finalists will be evaluated based on criteria relevant to each category.

Up to five winners will be chosen for ASEAN FinTech Leaders, FinTech Employer of the Year, and Partners of FinTech categories while there will be up to three winners for Women in FinTech, FinTech Leaders under 30, Social Impact Award, and Knowledge Enterprise Award.
