Many COVID19 cases due to 'socially irresponsible' actions of a few people, who attended events and activities despite being unwell: MOH

SINGAPORE: Many locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Singapore"were the result of the socially irresponsible actions of a few individuals" who continued to attend events and activities despite being unwell, said Health Minister Gan Kim Yong on Tuesday .

More than a fifth continued to work or carried on with their daily routine despite being sick, said Mr Gan.Of the 14 confirmed cases at Wizlearn Technologies, nine were members of staff. Of these, three employees had continued with their daily activities despite being unwell. Of these 18 cases, 10 of them continued with their daily activities while feeling unwell, resulting in an additional 17 COVID-19 cases who had not attended the dinner, said MOH.

Of the 160 cases in Singapore, 24 per cent, or 38 cases, had visited more than one general practitioner clinic. Of these, eight cases had visited three or more GP clinics.

these ppl r so selfish

Peeps, please stay at home if you're sick! It can be life threatening if you don't. I think this is just the beginning of a very huge problem that will unfortunately affect many lives. Stay sanitized and stay safe!!!

I demand Singaporean colonization now

Most people still cough without covering their mouths. Even if they cannot buy face mask, using tissue paper to cover their mouths is better than nothing.

😡

Pls take a serious action.

Should just stay at home

SocialDistancing is being socially responsible!👍🏼 DOHgovph SecDuque WHOPhilippines — sana nga “socially responsible” ang mga Pinoy 🇵🇭 COVID19

How did it spread? not washing hands? plain unhygienic people? kissing/hugging/cheeks bumps? by shaking hands?

“Socially irresponsible actions of a few individuals” Dicen. (Ver vídeo) Ser responsable. Actuar con sentido común. ¿Quién ha de dar, más, aún si cabe, ejemplo de “sentido de responsabilidad”? Gracias por la noticia, sencilla y clara.

Please FINE them!

Wow, data has shown its power right there.

No, not GO see a doctor, CALL a doctor to seek advice. If you go see a doctor you'll infect many more on your way.

Cmon fellow SGers. We can work together to prevent further spread. Ownself Check Ownself!!

Make these douchebags pay for the treatment

Ppl are taking cue from govt & media who are portraying that everything is under control with current measures so no extra personal actions are needed. There has to be stronger emphasis that even a mild cough is technically a respiratory symptom so please stay at home (image:WHO)

Perhaps there should be a penalty for those socially irresponsible persons e.g. a fine of significant value.

Pass emergency law to make every1 wear mask at events. No need for previous surgical mask, any cloth mask will do.

Truuuuu

Ah..he meant that auntie lah

Because if we take MC we’re called lazy.

Socially irresponsible!? There aren't any presymtoms to get corona virus, no one even knows if they got it until after the outbreak of the it

Because we were told to work hard when we are young.

Ya and coughing and sneezing without covering. Ty FT.

Publish their picture to let the whole world know what an ass they are
