A viral video clip posted on Facebook showed a passenger wearing a police vest, holding a blue beacon light and giving a hand signal for the group to stop.

A group of friends was involved in a cat-and-mouse chase with what they believed to be bogus policemen at an expressway in Kulai, Johor, theA Facebook user named"Freeman Gan WT" posted a video showing a Honda City car attempting to stop the group that was heading to Genting Highlands from Singapore.

"As we were trying to get away, we called 999, and the police asked for our location, urged us not to stop, and said to go to the nearest police station if the so-called 'policemen' kept following us. District police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said they are still tracking down the vehicle owner to assist with police investigations.
