More than half of Wednesday's cases were reported in Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur, the health ministry said in a tweet.There are 1,987 active COVID-19 cases in Malaysia and of these, 43 are in intensive care units. The health ministry also reported one new death, bringing the total number of fatalities to 93. The patient was a 72-year-old woman who had existing illnesses.
A total of 103 people were reported to have recovered from the infection on Wednesday. Malaysia has seen 3,452 recoveries so far.
