KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and Singapore need"at least three to four more bridges" to facilitate border traffic flow, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Tuesday .

Dr Mahathir claimed that Singapore does not want any more bridges, for a reason that he"does not understand".In his first stint as prime minister, Dr Mahathir had first mooted the idea of a crooked bridge — a six-lane highway that would curve in a way that would allow vessels to pass under it — between Singapore and Johor.

Under the agreement, which expires in 2061, Singapore is entitled to draw up to 250 million gallons a day of water from the Johor River.

The amount of bridges is sufficient. What they need is less and much faster border crossing processes. These slow and inefficient controls especially on the Singapore side are the cause of problem. Don't waste money, instil trust instead

In action

Yah yah yah ..... 🙄

Dr. Mahathir is losing credibility by day as he sound more nonsensical than yesterday!

Senility kicks in

It's not about the number of bridges.. Its the number of people working at the checkpoint..

This coming from the guy who had wanted to stop the JB-SG train construction & had to settle for postponing it..

Before u build a bridge, ensure u train the right ppl working at the m’sia immigration. If not,no matter how many bridges you build also, there’ll still be slow traffic and heavy congestion due to these irresponsible ppl who’s working there. Please instill work etiquette into them.

good people
