US Senator Tim Scott speaks during a Senate Small Business Committee hearing on coronavirus relief aid and"Implementation of title I of the CARES Act.", in Washington, DC, on Jun 10, 2020. On Sunday, Scott said the Republican Party viewed eliminating qualified immunity as a"poison pill," but he still felt optimistic that a compromise could be reached in many other areas.
