TOKYO : Japanese trading house Mitsubishi is considering the conversion of the Namikata terminal near Hiroshima into a fuel ammonia import hub, a company executive told a business conference in Tokyo on Friday.
On Friday, Mitsubishi signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S. company Proman to study a potential clean ammonia production project in Lake Charles in the United States. Mitsubishi is studying the conversion of the Namikata terminal to receive ammonia from potential production projects in Lake Charles and Corpus Christi on the Gulf of Mexico coast in the United States.
