Hong Ling didn’t share deepest secrets with fiancé Nick Teo, whom she’s dated for 8 years, until a few weeks ago

At the start of the episode, Hong Ling and Edwin are first asked if they would take the initiative to court a person.

Kunhua then asks Hong Ling what she thinks of Edwin, to which she chuckles:"Oh, he's extremely enthusiastic, sometimes I even find him too mushy. He dotes on his girlfriend like crazy. When we have gatherings, the two of them will be at one side, being super chummy and sweet!""In the past I would pamper [girlfriends] more, I used to put [my girlfriend's] needs before mine. But as I grew up I learnt that isn't very healthy.

"In the first few years of dating Nick, I was always like that. He was the one who always gave in to me. I only learnt this in the past few years, so I'm really thankful that in these eight years, he didn't give up on me," she beams.

"In the past I always wanted to be the receiver, but now I learnt that it goes both ways. I used to not trust people easily, and even though Nick and I are getting married soon, I only told him two of my deepest secrets a couple of weeks ago. Even my parents don't know about it.”
