Fully vaccinated Malaysians in Singapore can now quarantine at home when they return to Malaysia, instead of spending two weeks at a hotel.

A trickle of traffic seen along the Causeway linking Malaysia and Singapore on 18 March 2020, the first day of Malaysia's two-week border lockdown.

They also expressed hopes that Singapore will reciprocate by reducing its two-week compulsory quarantine period when they enter the country. It is the prohibitive cost that is preventing those like fast-food outlet manager Nurbayzura Basaruddin, 34, from going home any time soon. She has not been home since last March and misses her husband and four young children.
