SHANGHAI: China's Zhou Guanyu said on Thursday that he will experience a"mix of emotions" when he finally races his first grand prix on his home track at the weekend.

"It's been crazy over the last week and a half since I came back from Japan," said Sauber's Zhou, who has been on an endless series of interviews, promotions and fan sessions. Zhou was a five-year-old spectator at the inaugural Chinese Grand Prix in 2004 when one of the drivers he watched was Fernando Alonso.

Zhou has been an F1 driver since 2022 but is yet to win a race and his Sauber team has not scored a world championship point this season.
