WATCH: Boops from the hippos!

San Antonio Zoo organized a painting session for their hippos on October 7.

The video shared on social media captured zookeepers putting a non-toxic paint on a hippo’s mouth and nose area and stamping them onto canvas to complete the painting. According to the zoo such activities help hippos become more comfortable and trusting with their caretakers. “Activities with new and different stimuli like paint are fun for both the hippos and the trainers. As a bonus, you end up with some super unique artwork" San Antonio Zoo wrote in the post.
