WASHINGTON - At a news conference in July 2016, then Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump famously called for Russia's assistance in finding Mrs Hillary Clinton's missing e-mails.

"I'm sure our media would richly reward you," Mrs Clinton added during an appearance on MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show. "Imagine, Rachel, that you had one of the Democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said, you know, the only other adversary of ours who is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China," Mrs Clinton said.
