The risk of cancer was found to rise alongside the number of sexual partners.

Having 10 or more sexual partners throughout your life may raise the risk of cancer, research suggests.

Results revealed the women who had 10 or more lifetime sexual partners were 91% more likely to be diagnosed with any form of cancer than those who were virgins or had slept with just one person.Read more: With liver cancer deaths on the rise, these are the symptoms to look out for Overall, one in two people born after 1960 in the UK will develop cancer at some point in their life.
