Here are some of Trump’s controversial comments on issues such as the pandemic and “Obamagate” during his four-year term in office.

SINGAPORE — Americans will go to the polls come 3 November to vote for their 46th president. In the running are current US president Donald Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden.

On his previous COVID test results:“I tested very positively in another sense. So this morning, I tested positively toward negative, right? So no. I tested perfectly this morning, meaning I tested negative. But that's a way of saying it. Positively toward the negative.” On whether ‘injecting disinfectants’ could help treat COVID:“Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous – whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light... And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute...is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning.”

Trump has repeatedly accused his predecessor Barack Obama of committing crimes and seeking to damage his presidency, referring to it as “Obamagate”. In May, he explained the basis for his attacks in response to a query from a reporter. Story continuesTrump has refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power should he lose the presidential election to Biden. He has repeatedly expressed doubts about the electoral process, warning that the election would be a sham without substantiating his claim.
