TAIPEI — Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn and its billionaire founder Terry Gou sought permission from Taiwan's government on Tuesday (June 1) to buy Covid-19 vaccines from Germany's BioNTech as the island grapples with a rise in infections.
