Latest figures from the Singapore Customs showed 6,115 people were caught for buying illegal smokes last year, an almost 5 per cent increase from the 5,846 caught in 2017.

SINGAPORE - The number of people caught for buying duty-unpaid cigarettes in Singapore hit a five-year high last year, while continuing a rise for the second year running.
