One person was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in Jurong during the wee hours of Feb 18. In a Facebook post on Feb 18 afternoon, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at Block 287A Jurong East Street 21 at about 1.50am. Two people self-evacuated from the burning flat before the arrival of SCDF.
