Fernvale resident complains about cleaner playing with HP, town council says cleaners need breaks

A Fernvale resident secretly took a video of the cleaner sitting in a void deck and said that the cleaner was playing with his mobile phone.Sharing the video, StomperHe complained:"When there's only one cleaner taking care of our estate, instead of doing his duty, he's busy playing with his HP in the early morning.The Stomper has previously written to the Ang Mo Kio Town Council and Singapore Food Agency about the poor maintenance and refuse management at Block 417 Fernvale Link.

In response to a Stomp query regarding the cleaner, the Ang Mo Kio Town Council said:"Our cleaners start their day from as early as 6.30am or 7.00am. "Our cleaners are also required to check for work instructions sent via the handphone by their foreman or town council staff.

C'mon...let's cut these guys some slack! Ever thot this cud be his break These workers work very hard for long hours on a paycheck our younger gen wud not sniff !! But most importantly littering begins with us - let's practice proper disposal of our rubbish & litters 😇😇😇

1 Cleaner to handling the whole town council that’s ridiculous! But i think 🤔 it’s a norm these days in Singapore,we don’t even see them sweeping our corridors..

Stomper should go help clean the estate instead of complaining. The worker may be taking a break.

Come on la~ you mean u do not play or use mobile phone during work.... give that guy a break... its quite stress to see rubbish all over the place created by the residents.
