FairPrice freezes prices of 100 housebrand products until 30 June 2020.

Singapore’s largest supermarket chain FairPrice announced on Monday that it will freeze the prices of 100 of its housebrand products until 30 June 2020, one of two initiatives to alleviate the daily costs of essential groceries for its customers.

Its chief executive officer Seah Kian Peng said, “As part of the NTUC group of Social Enterprises serving various purposes for Singaporeans, FairPrice continues to play our part in moderating cost of living. Products include rice, oil, batteries and toiletriesThe 100 grocery and household products were selected based on popular customer purchases, which are representative of the average household in Singapore.

By dropping prices for the 50-odd everyday essentials – some by as much as 30 per cent – FairPrice said it has ensured that all 100 of the selected housebrand products are priced at least 20 per cent cheaper than comparable leading brands.
