A man was forced to avoid fried chicken for a while after taking a bite of his nasi lemak order and discovering live maggots inside.
Mr Yio patronised the stall with his two friends and ordered a nasi lemak set which included chicken wings and otak. They reported the incident immediately to the Singapore Food Agency and hoped that others would practice extra caution when“I am avoiding fried chicken for a while, thank you very much!” said Mr Yio.Mr Yio added that when they approached the stall, they found the night shift staff “sleeping comfortably on his foldable chair.”
