BEIJING - Economic and trade development in the Asia-Pacific still faces many disturbances and challenges, China’s commerce minister Wang Wentao said.

Mr Wang said he recognised the difficulties faced by the region, but added that China, as a major developing country, was willing to make due contributions. Mr Wang also discussed China’s positions on supporting the multilateral trading system and promoting sustainable and inclusive trade development.

World leaders have been looking for ways to fortify global supply chains, which are still wobbly in the post-Covid world.
