A man was arrested at Woodlands Checkpoint after he was found in possession of contraband, said the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority .
ICA said that in the early hours of March 19, a Singapore-registered car entered the immigration clearance lane of the departure car zone at Woodlands Checkpoint. The driver, a 49-year-old Singaporean man, informed the ICA officer that he had made a wrong turn and had no intention to depart Singapore.ICA’s First Response Team officers performed biometric screening on the driver and discovered that he had allegedly provided a false identity.
