People expect more since COE is so high! This is reasonable. Dont compare to other countries where owning a car has no COE. There is a choice for majority of people, but there is no much choice for Singaporean due to COE.
There is a saying that A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. Its where the rich use public transportation. Having lived in S'pore, I feel its one of best, if not best in public transport. The rich part of the saying may not hold true but pub transport is 👌
I'm a born & raised Singaporean. My message to the Singaporeans who've expressed dissatisfaction w/ the public transport : Learn to be more grateful by looking at people in impoverished countries so that you don't take the easy life that you've enjoyed for granted & be humble.🤷
Really? If people are dissatisfied i think they dont really appreciate what great inffrastructure and pricing Singapore offers! Try Jakarta or Bangkok let al9ne many other cities and then see if they are still 'dissatisfied'
