Dissatisfaction with S'pore public transport rises in 2021: Survey

Trains fared slightly better, with 93.6 per cent of those polled last year saying they were satisfied with the MRT services, compared with 97.9 per cent in 2020. However, more were satisfied with the service information provided and the accessibility of bus interchanges, bus stops and MRT stations.Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was the second year that the survey was conducted online instead of face to face.

The categories were safety and security, waiting time, reliability, service information, bus interchange, bus stop and MRT station accessibility, comfort, travel time, and customer service.Murals at bus interchanges, MRT stations to help people with dementia find their way homeThe respondents also had to rate the importance of each attribute, and their ratings were then weighted to give their overall satisfaction score.

People expect more since COE is so high! This is reasonable. Dont compare to other countries where owning a car has no COE. There is a choice for majority of people, but there is no much choice for Singaporean due to COE.

There is a saying that A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. Its where the rich use public transportation. Having lived in S'pore, I feel its one of best, if not best in public transport. The rich part of the saying may not hold true but pub transport is 👌

I'm a born & raised Singaporean. My message to the Singaporeans who've expressed dissatisfaction w/ the public transport : Learn to be more grateful by looking at people in impoverished countries so that you don't take the easy life that you've enjoyed for granted & be humble.🤷

Really? If people are dissatisfied i think they dont really appreciate what great inffrastructure and pricing Singapore offers! Try Jakarta or Bangkok let al9ne many other cities and then see if they are still 'dissatisfied'
