Ng Guan Hao had multiple casino exclusion orders against him, which means he is barred from entering the casino from between March 2018 and March 2023.A man who was barred from entering casinos in Singapore managed to sneak into the Marina Bay Sands casino on almost 30 occasions because he assumed the identities of two men he resembled.

No action was taken against MBS as “investigations found that adequate checks were conducted by MBS”, the GRA said. In the same time period, Resorts World Sentosa was fined a total of $85,000 for failing to stop the entry of six people who were barred. He was caught when a casino employee, who was Ng’s schoolmate, spotted him at the VIP table. The casino staff member checked and found that Ng had multiple exclusion orders against him, and called the police.

The operators are also required to check that individuals use their own identification documents for verification at the point of entry.When asked about its checks on those barred from entering casinos, RWS operator Genting Singapore referred ST to its 2023 sustainability report.
