Czech Republic midfielder Michal Sadilek will not be travelling to the European Championship in Germany after falling off a bike and hurting his leg, the national team's spokesperson said on Sunday.The 25-year-old featured in the last Euros in 2020.

On Friday Sadilek captained the side and played the full 90 minutes in a 7-1 victory over Malta in a warm-up friendly. "This is a big setback for us, because Michal is one of our experienced players," Czech Republic coach Ivan Hasek said."It was not without reason that he wore the captain's armband during the match against Malta."
