Singapore's 18th COVID-19 fatality, an 86-year-old woman, died on Sunday (3 May).

SINGAPORE – The Ministry of Health reported a total of 657 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of noon on Sunday , bringing the country’s tally to 18,205 – the highest recorded in Southeast Asia.

Singapore’s 18th COVID-19 fatalityCase 14,744, an 86-year-old Singaporean woman died from complications due to COVID-19 infection on Sunday. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 27 April, and had a history of diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.

A nurse at the Health Promotion Board who was deployed to the community care facility at Singapore EXPO, she was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 2 May. She is currently warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and had not gone to work since the onset of symptoms.
