SINGAPORE — Cinema goers should avoid eating and drinking “excessively” in cinemas and they should otherwise wear masks while watching movies, a senior Ministry of Health official advised on Friday .

Speaking at an online conference by the multi-ministry COVID-19 taskforce on Friday, Assoc Prof Mak said the authorities do not have any information to suggest that the two cases became infected in the cinema. There is no evidence to suggest that those who were in close proximity of these cases are going to get infected as they are on quarantine at this stage, he added.
