Among the six imported COVID-19 cases is a Student’s Pass holder who arrived from Russia on 4 August.

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health has confirmed another 86 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore as of noon on Sunday , taking the country’s total to 55,747.

There are also six imported cases who have all been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon their arrival in Singapore. Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained stable at an average of two cases per day in the past two weeks. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also remained stable at an average of one case per day in the past two weeks.

“These workers will be tested when their quarantine ends, and we expect the case counts to remain high in the coming days, before tapering down thereafter,” said MOH. A total 3,685 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These patients have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19.
