BANGKOK - Thailand has refused permission for passengers from Holland America's cruise ship MS Westerdam to disembark, its health minister said on Tuesday , the latest country to turn it away amid fears of the spreading coronavirus.

The virus has killed more than 1,000 people and infected more than 42,000, chiefly in mainland China. Thailand's refusal to grant disembarkation to the Holland America comes as another cruise ship in Japan remains docked in the port of Yokohama.
