Coronavirus: Govt will no longer discourage wearing of masks, to give reusable masks to all households

SINGAPORE - The Government will no longer discourage people who are well from wearing masks, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Friday .

"We now think there are some cases out there in the community going undetected, though probably still not that many," Mr Lee added. He said wearing a mask may help to protect others, in case a person has the virus but does not know it.

At least the govt unwillingly admit their mistake that why people have been saying to wear mask since this started. People are saying wearing mask help but the govt gave the bullshit rhetoric of false security etc. which people already understand. Don't lie having enough mask.

Better late than never!

One per household or one per person?

i rather they send them in the mail than have ppl gather to collect them.

We could have flattened the curve weeks ago if we had asked SG to wear reusable mask n stepped up on social distancing...but better late than never. Tq PM Lee🤗

What happened has happened! At least now govt highly implement to wear masks. Let us unite together to curb or slow down the evil virus! 💪 Members of public, we can do it! We will do it n MUST do it! 💪 SG-United! Majula Singapura🇸🇬

You think there are some cases that go undetected? I look at the MRT and think there must be tens of thousands undetected. 🙄
