BEIJING : China's central bank and banking regulator on Friday jointly unveiled a list of 19 banks deemed to be systemically important in a move to fend off major financial risks.
The list of banks includes the country's four largest lenders: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of China. The banks will face additional capital requirements of between 0.25per cent and 1per cent, the PBOC and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission said.
