The Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 18 released the list of nominees for the "Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize," which included the Wuhan Institute of Virology, per a report from local media outletShi Zhengli, the head of the Wuhan lab dubbed as China's got an honorable mention as well for her work on "identifying the origin of COVID-19, and creating a model to isolate genes from the virus.
