China approves arrest of Hong Kong 'speedboat fugitives'

On Wednesday the People's Procuratorate of Yantian District in Shenzhen said it had approved the arrests. Two of the detainees, referred to as Deng and Qiao respectively, were arrested on suspicion of helping the others escape Hong Kong. The other 10 - including suspects surnamed Li and Huang - were arrested for making illegal border crossings.

Lu Siwei, one of the mainland lawyers working on the case, told AFP the period of detention for investigation could last up to seven months. At least 14 mainland lawyers hired by the detainees' families have been pressured by authorities to drop their clients, according to activists. In June, Beijing imposed a new security law on Hong Kong, announcing it would have jurisdiction for some crimes and that mainland security agents could openly operate in the city.

These 12 freedom fighters are more likely to be a kidnapping case by fascist China. That's why Hongkongers have no trust in fascist China's legal system. The evil regime has to return them back to us NOW of its own accord! save12hkyouths CCP_is_terrorist

They were arrested in HK’s water

They have been detained for a month before this “approval”. So it was an unlawful detention.

China approves kidnapping

ccp approved the ridiculous pretext to arrest any freedom fighters.

shiroihamusan The conviction rate in China is 99.9%, which means no matter did they commit the crimes, they must plead guilty. That means 2 of these 12HKyouths may be sentenced for up to 7 yrs jail. No matter how, we should keep focusing on them so that CCP won’t go too viciously.
