Chee Hong Tat appointed to MAS board of directors

New: You can now listen to articles.SINGAPORE: Minister for Transport Chee Hong Tat has been appointed to the Monetary Authority of Singapore's board of directors, the central bank announced on Thursday .

Five existing members of the MAS board have also been reappointed for three-year terms: Mr Heng Swee Keat, Mr Alvin Tan, Mr Peter Ong, Mrs Deborah Ong and Mr Ng Wai King,One member of the board, Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, will step down from his position when his current term ends on May 31. In a statement, MAS chairman Lawrence Wong expressed the board's appreciation for Prof Tan's contributions.
