SINGAPORE: A Certis CISCO auxiliary police officer has been suspended from active duty after he kicked a personal mobility device rider off the road in Bedok on Tuesday .
A team of AMEOs and Certis CISCO auxiliary police officers were conducting enforcement duties along Bedok Reservoir Road at about 6.40pm on Tuesday when they spotted a PMD user riding on the road near the junction at Bedok North Avenue 3, an LTA spokesperson said in response to queries on Wednesday.
He was riding on the road at a high speed and could cause serious injuries to members of the public or himself, said Certis in response to queries. The officer was also injured and was treated on site before heading to the hospital for further assistance. Certis will conduct a disciplinary inquiry into the incident, the spokesperson said, adding that it is providing full assistance to police investigations.
Stupidity causes misery
Say no to all violence in law enforcement, but to reckless pmd riders who refuse to stop, YES!
Hahaha suspend only simply get transfer to other job site
The officer is preventing criminal escape plus prevention of accidents happening when escaping. It is like police crash into car during car chase etc.
I hope the authorities should be fair with the judgement. This officer is doing his best to stop the PMD. We need good responsible police officer and not those who just work for money.
Thanks Certis' officer for uphold integrity in his job , spoilt brat must be treated this way , despite several warnings to stop the PMD , he ignored , orbi goot lor , song bo ? 赚到皮痛 哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈
Other rumours said that he suffered head injury, broken arm, broken rib. So which is real?
If that idiotic PMD rider had knocked down an elderly person, would you still have blamed the CISCO officer? 🙄
Good kick Officer, all law enforcement officers should be trained that way.
